I put the patch on the outside with vinyl and on the inside when repairing Cordura.

Just use gorilla tape

There is patch tape also. DOn't need glue.. Just peel and stick and it sticks real good, Wabash trailer in Portland, OR. is where I got mine. When I was using glue. I would wash with dish detergent, rinse and dry then wipe with alcohol. I would patch both sides. Good luck

outside, the guy that taught me claimed putting them on the inside will catch on edges and corners. I've been putting them on the outside with no problems since, but never did try one on the inside to compare.

I'm bringing my tarps to Danny's place to be fixed.
dannythetrucker and tsavory Thank this. -
I put mine on the outside. I clean with lacquer thinner, glue tarp and patch let dry until tacky/dry, put on, roll together. Then throw a little baby powder on it so excess glue is not a problem.
barroll, xsetra and taxihacker66 Thank this. -
I usually put mine on the outside so it's easy to know at a glance whats going on. I don't have to wonder if that cut has been patched. But, I have more blue scrap material than black so I put the blue patches on the inside of a black tarp.
