    Hi all,

Hope I've posted this in the right place, apologies if not. So a little background on myself first of all... I live in the UK, I'm a student doing Transport and Logistics Management and my boyfriend is a trucker (or lorry/HGV driver, as they're known here). I've worked behind the desk at a haulage company and hope to carry on up in the industry after graduation.

I'm in my final year of university and currently writing my project. It's on the use of vehicle tracking and monitoring technology. I'm really keen to get the perspectives of trucking business owners/operators/managers and desk staff from all over the place who use them as a part of their job. I've made a few online surveys, the links are posted below. I have one for truckers too, which I've posted in the Electronic Connection forum already, but no harm in repeating it here I think. The surveys are pretty short (about 5-10 minutes depending on your connection and how fast you read) and there's a prize draw. If you don't have time or don't want to take part in the survey, but still have something to say, please reply or send me a PM!

Hopefully I've managed to avoid too much British lingo, other than HGV = Heavy Goods Vehicle.

Hi, sorry for the late reply! We do enjoy Top Gear very much :) We haven't actually seen those episodes, so thank you for directing us towards them, we'll be sure to check them out!

Since last April, lorries in England and Wales can now go to 60mph on roads with 2+ lanes and 50mph on single-lane roads. However, most have speed restrictors, so they'd be hard-pushed to go much above 55 anyway.

    Terry270 Thanks this.
