    WHAT IS BELIEVED TO BE A WELL ORGANIZED FUEL THEFT OPERATION THAT SPANS THE COUNTRY, HAS TWO FEWER TRUCK DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. ON SUNDAY, LACLEDE COUNTY DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO A .FUEL THEFT ALARM AT THE MFA BULK PLANT. THE DEPUTY FOUND A FREIGHTLINER TRUCK AND 2 MEN ON THE SCENE. CHARAN JIT AND SAWARN GILL HAD ALLEGEDLY DAMAGED THE PUMP AND WERE FUELING THE TRUCK. ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, FROM NOVEMBER TO JANUARY THE TWO MEN, WHO ARE CITIZENS OF INDIA, ARE LINKED TO THE THEFT OF IN EXCESS OF $10-THOUSAND-DOLLARS WORTH OF FUEL AND DAMAGES AT MFA FUELING DEPOTS ALONG I-44. BOTH MEN ARE CHARGED WITH FELONY STEALING AND ARE BEING HELD IN THE LACLEDE COUNTY JAIL. THE MEN ARE BELIEVED TO BE LINKED TO THEFTS TAKING PLACE FROM CALIFORNIA TO NEW YORK, BY A NUMBER OF DRIVERS FROM STAR TRANSPORT AND NORTHWEST TRUCKING LLC COMPANIES

    Glad they caught the guys, guys must have been employees of one or the other companies, or perhaps they were friends working from both companies mentioned and just helping each other out.

    It doesn't take a foreigner to do this either, one o/o stole fuel from us at a TA in VA, he was was American. For newbies out there if your fuel cap is off the tanks someone has most likely siphoned off fuel for you.

    With all the "new innovations" trucking companies are putting in place, you would surely think that they would be smart enough to buy locking fuel caps for all their trucks.

    When fuel first spiked a few years back, guy put locking caps on. So the thieves began drilling holes in the fuel tanks. Sometimes you cant win.

    The two suspects were not taking fuel from another truck, they were getting it from the pump. Here in Indiana at Mr Fuel in Indianapolis, two men from another country were doing same thing and were arrested. They would pry back the houseing of the pump at fuel island use an electronic device and pump away.
