    Hey Gents,

05 Columbia 120... Runs pretty good overall (lol). Recently, the housing for the electrical connector to the EGR broke away from the main housing--went to local shop and they wanted 1500.00 to replc--i said no, zip tied housing back into original position and engine ran normal.

2 weeks later, cruising down the road (cruise ON) slight uphill grade--turbo begins casually cutting in and out. Has been doing it consisitenly now for 2 to 3 days. Turbo also cuts in and out when off of cruise control and giving her throttle--usually above 13 rpm.

YOUR THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS ARE WELCOME.

I have detroit 12.7 and mine was doing the same thing, eventually it threw a code and cut engine power back to 40% ... the culprit was a bad turbo boost sensor. Changed it out and runs great now, symptom eliminated. I was lucky I was within a couple hours to a FL dealer who had the part I needed AND there were no big climbs in front of me. I was lucky to keep it above 50 mph (68 limit) and limp it to the shop. I had the bully dog and that's how I figured it out.

if engine has faulty boost sensor there must be active or inactive code. if vpod is malfunctioning you may have code 39 or may not. Its more likely vpod or vpod air supply pressure

Also forgot to give u guys the list of codes its showing:

    Eng prot: 81
    CEL: 83, 39, 39, 72, 49, 72, 49, 44.

DAY BEFORE TURBO ISSUE BEGAN T/A pulled --

--sae--recirc eng exhaust gas differential press--out of calibration; FMI 13; count 2

--PWM #3 sht to batt +\- pin E-1 (flash code 63). FMI 3; count 16

--EGR leak boost power (flash code 39) FMI 2; count 126

Mine did not show any inactive codes before the sensor quit. I could see the boost pressure change at random while I could watch (on bd hdgt) throttle position at a steady number. It eventually blew and felt like a hose had come off the turbo or air to air. The CEL could not be overriden.

--PWM #3 sht to batt +\- pin E-1 (flash code 63). FMI 3; count 16 <--broken egr valve connector touching ground
--EGR leak boost power (flash code 39) FMI 2; count 126 it could be 146/2 <--VNT Vanes not responding - Boost Power or 147/2EGR leak - Boost Power .
Again I think vpod is faulty. vpod output pressure test must be done to verify.
