Ugh....trying to study and take practice tests. I'm doing the cdl study guide and practice tests on Trucking truth and so far I'm 99% on first try taking quizes...only 4% through the guide. I know I only need to focus on general knowledge, air brakes and combination vehicles for the written test. I'm afraid of freezing up or my mind taking a you know what when I go to take my test...ive got 2 weeks to get this down..i know I'm not going to have much time to study during orientation....any tips????

Those are good tests. Repition. Just keep practicing you will get it. There is nothing to be scared of. Its not like someone will die if you fail. Just keep calm. Keep testing yourself and you will get there. Take it from a former school teacher.

    Relax.

Take it easy. Remember you will truly scare yourself at least once after you get that CDL and head out your first year.

Anyone can take a test if you go over each question and find out the why, how, when etc. Ive had 80 year old grandmothers pass computer building tests which is on paper more difficult than any old CDL written.

Those questions are bought in blood, sweat and tears and are to be memorized along with the answers.

But... take time to RELAX. It's not the end of the world.

    You'll be just fine.

Just keep going over the practice tests.

The practice tests on this site are quite good, too.

I just kept going over them repeatedly, & did the trick for me. Helped a lot.

Good luck w/all. Here's to seeing you out here soon.

When you take the tests you might have the option to skip questions, we have that option in Mich! You only need a certain amount of correct answers to pass and you can retake the test I believe 3 times in one day! Dont overthink it if you have certain info mastered then just focus on the parts that are harder to digest.
