    That's not good. 70mph would mean its a lease truck. Probably a trainer, lots of lease guys train now. Possibly a student at the end of his shift.

    Looks like the ATA is trying to slow everyone down. With speed limiters for all. These types of accidents don't help but all of us see everyday the truck in the left lane doing 75 while being 10 feet from a 4 wheelers bumper...

    and yet the ATA company trucks are set at 65 or less now and it doesn't help them be safer

    Don't forget Total and US are big ATA sponsors... 65 or 70 mph would have made no difference in this crash. Plan and simple driver neglect. It's absolutely terrible for everyone involved.

    36000 people died as a result of accidents last year....US express is not the exception to unsafe and negligent drivers with a license to haul freight. But surely they will be held liable as so was Walmart in the recent death caused by a truck slamming into stopped traffic.
