A job I want requires a FAST card, but when I tried to apply online for the FAST card it asks about employment,

so anyone know what comes first

if I don't put employment will I be denied a FAST card?

I am not aware if the FAST card required employment information. You could always get your passport and you would not need a particular employer to be listed on it. You can get your TWIC without having a particular employer listed as I recall. I have had a TWIC for a number of years, but don't remember them asking about my employer.

they do require for the FAST card Current Employment Status and Employment History
If I put Unemployed in both Current Employment Status and Employment History

I recently applied for my TWIC card because my employment history is a sketchy because of me being self employed and such.

I am a pretty tough and resilient guy but in no way was i prepared for this guy when i applied for my TWIC card recently.

I applied for my FAST card the first week of CDL school and six weeks later went for the interview and was not employed at the time. The custom guy asked who I was employed with and I told him who I intended to work for but he was more concerned why I wanted the card. Told him I was a commercial driver and that was it. The school I went too encourages all students to apply for the card as early as possible for it is not a fast process
