What do you guys do about rattlesnakes around your truck?

BBQ?

 

Guns, fire, chemicals, bombs, explosives. Anything. I would most likely crap my pants twice if I saw that. I was working in Big Spring TX in 2015 and one crossed the road in front of my pickup. That was close enough for me.

 

Not get out of my truck. Don’t get paid enough for that ####

 

Call someone to relocate them if you don’t want them around…the rats and mice will appreciate it.

Don’t just kill them because they do a lot of good. Obviously if you got kids or pets you can’t have the snakes around.

 

Swatting at them with my shovel was usually enough to scare them off.

Wait, why were they out after dark?

 

CAll the boss and tell him if the hazard an ithe company/battery operator needs to remove the nest. Otherwise I'd refuse to service the site due to safety issue. They can fix it or send someoe esle to the site that doessnt car about the snakes.

 

All jobs gonna have their own hazards. You ain't gonna move rattlesnakes outta that country, that's laughable.

So get some snake chaps if you're worried

 

YEah, Ive only dealt with them in southern alberta, just look before you strp outta the truck and carry on is what I did. Bit some guys did refuse sites, to each teir own lol
