WHAT??

Doesnt sound like a 4 way stop.

 

Sounds like she thought he had a stop sign also and pulled out in front of him. Sad, but happens all the time.
Just pulled it up on Google Earth and CR11 is E/W and has stop signs and Hwy 57 is N/S and is a thru route with no stop.

 

How many times while driving in rural America on unfamiliar roads do you wonder if all the signs are up where they're supposed to be (not knocked over) and are the other players local or from out of town, and who might be making certain assumptions or taking things for granted, whether all signs are up, or not?

 

I had a similar thing happen to me. Kid stopped at a stop sign, waiting for the car coming from the north to pass before he'd pull out behind it. Unfortunately he didn't see me coming from the South. He started making his left off the gravel road a split second before I cleared the intersection...so it wasn't as bad as it COULD have been. He crashed into the side of my trailer tires as I went by @ 55 mph.

 

Good lord, I'm viewing on my phone and I saw the first pic before the 2nd with the red S-10 or reading the post. Thought that was blood on your tires!

Those are beautiful pictures, need to replace that aft wheel outside, looks like a dented rim to me.

That's red paint it shines. Blood would turn black as it congeals into what looks like a few gallons of coffee grounds.

 

Don't pull out in front of a truck, even if you are a mom or driving a minivan.

 

Yes, you're right. like I said though quick glance on a dim cell phone before going to sleep, my mind went to that. Maybe I'm a little twisted. Who knows, but probably. When all else fails, blame the technology, right? That kid sure got lucky though
