Merrill Lynch called a bottom on crude a few days ago but some analyst this morning predicted sub $30 sometime this year. I think we'll see low $30's again.

You're right. High oil cost had almost no impact on a families grocery bill. The food gets from the meat plants and crop fields right to the grocery store shelf with zero transportation costs.

A little reading for those with better critical thinking skills than myself. http://oilprice.com/Energy/Oil-Prices/How-Oil-Prices-Affect-The-Price-Of-Food.html

The rise in food prices was due mostly to the fact that most of the food producing regions of the country were in DROUGHT. Feed prices went through the roof.

Big Lake area is going to be a desert soon..
    Pulling Unit yards shutting down.
Truck companies yard closing down (Select for the whole region from Big Lake to Mertzon and Angelo is out) or are at an almost stand still.. - eg 2/4 trucks out for a little part of the day.
Disposals are closed, (NGL in Big Lake and Barnhart ) and the Optimum in Mertzon is only open during the day.
Sand Cans are running a little bit , but nothing local , they just grab the dust along the train tracks and go farther north.
Oil trucks are a rarity as well.
