I dont see how that would be legal. Kind of invasion of your privacy atleast in the sleeper.
-
I bet its a rumor! too many variables to hard to control and not enough to gain. I'm a network engineer turned driver and its expensive to run that much info wireless from the truck. just take a look at what qc costs.
-
Kind of my thoughts as well but I figured it would be something worth looking into with some of the guys that drive for TMC because I couldnt see how they would keep drivers with cameras watching your every move.
-
They do watch your every move, but not with cameras.
-
Do you currently work for them?
-
They do read posts on here regularly
-
It wouldn't be hard to imagine a trucking line doing it to their drivers.
You guys ever see the lawn spray company "Tru Green, Chemlawn"??
Their pickups are equipped with cameras. The cam records video of the drivers actions when it feels vehicle movements it doesn't like. Swerving, hard braking ect.
There is to be no eating, drinking etc while driving either. -
hey they can watch me all they want zero points no negs on dac and always on time. let them look! I don't work for them but I wouldn't care if I did.

TMC does not have cameras in there trucks. I work for TMC and the only camera on my truck is the one I put on the dash. Most of the trucks have a Lane Departure system that gives you a rumble strip noise if you get to close to the zipper or shoulder line but thats it.
