    1. Copy "site:thetruckersreport.com" (without the quotes) and paste it into Google along with your search term.
    2. Click Google's search button (or hit the return key on your keyboard).
    3. If you only want to find the newest posts, you can filter out the old ones by clicking Google's "Search Tools" button and selecting a time frame.
    4. After clicking a search result, you can type your search term again in your browser's "find" box to jump straight to the individual post(s).

    Using the search box here
can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack, because it only finds threads, some of which contain thousands of individual posts.

One last tip: you can also tell Google what not to find by putting a minus sign "-" in front of a word. For example if you want to find pages that mention "Smith Transport" but not "Smith Transportation", paste this into Google:

    site:thetruckersreport.com "smith transport" -transportation

Nonusers can probably do the same thing with Bing.

Click beside SEARCH on Advanced Search and you can narrow things down.

What CondoCruiser says is correct: you can "narrow things down" in your search by clicking the "Advanced Search" feature. To see why this still leaves you trying to find a needle in a haystack, reread my initial post above.

There is now a convenient list of Google and Bing links available to search these forums for info on lots of different companies. A link to it can be found at the bottom of the page at my username followed by dot-com.

    HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this.

I'm not real computer savvy and I can't figure that out but I appreciate you starting this thread. Thank you. Although I can use the idea of Google or Bing well. Thanks.

Just saying the ability exists means nothing. I already tried several approaches, none of which worked. Until you back up your claim with detailed step-by-step instructions, nobody has any reason to believe it.

By the way, I wasn't saying it's impossible to view individual posts via the search feature. What I'm saying is that the list of search results always displays whole threads rather than individual posts. Sure, you can click on a thread to view the individual posts it contains, but uh-oh: that's the potential needle-in-a-haystack scenario!

I'm really curious to know how you got the search results to display individual posts instead of whole threads. Please tell us!
