horrible truck stops

There is an old DOT checkpoint near there where drivers can park. 2 miles or less from there. Also the wendy's or hardees has a few parking places.

 

There has been a couple threads that mentioned this place it must be quite a dump...

Is it worse than the Key Truck Stop ?!?

 

I-10 x-785 Channelview, TX just east of Houston not exactly Mr.Rogers neighborhood..

 

Is that the foreign owned place that advertises his diesel price over the CB in his foreign launguage so no one can understand him?

The Key is next door to that place....I can here that guy advertising all the way up here in NY when the skip is rolling !!

there is a really good chrome shop right there also..

 

Can`t believe the Key is still there.It was a dump 20 years ago.

 

used to have some fun times there at the Key.
Park on the back side of the building and watch all the fools coming in and out of the old Cheatn Heart bar,,,
The wheelers and dealers walking up and down the street.
One night the cops tried to clean it up.. Yea right.
Well they blocked off both ends of the road and trkstp parking lot and came in with alot of cops and cars.
Was kinda like the old Keystone cops movies watching them chase the players in the game..
