How many gallons of fuel were spilled? Did it gush up?

No spilled fuel.all the pumps have a built-in emergency shut off.It gets triggered by the impact.

If you THINK you hit something, STOP AND CHECK IT OUT!!! If you leave, or attempt to leave, and ANYONE saw what you did and saw the name on the side of your truck (and possibly even the truck number), you're done. If you JUST fueled up, the fuel stop will have that information. Seeing as how it was a fuel pump which suffered the damage, the incident was likely caught on video. In other words, you WILL be caught. You WILL lose your livelihood over what could otherwise be a minor incident.

Anything that happens in a truck stop parking lot has no bearing on this. It is private property an you can not be charged for leaving the seen of an accident.

You can be arrested for hit and run on private property if the property is open to public travel. Don't know what state this happened in, but the law is pretty consistent on this issue.

Fueling a truck becomes a pretty regular thing when you drive every day.. You would think you would get good at it.. Or at least become aware of the pumps..
