Anyone ever been here ? It's a Bosselman Pilot with plenty of parking but the inside is terrible. Cashiers are always slow. Terrible selection of hot food. We never have a good experience here.
We like the rest of the Bosselman Pilots/Flying Js but this one is long overdue for a update.

Are you talking about the one on I 80 in Gretna Nebraska?
-
the Sapp Brothers at exit 263 has a nice little restaurant
only thing Grand Island is good for is parking
you want real bad pilot try exit 300 or 257TruckDuo Thanks this. -
It's has 400 parking spots but the inside is terrible. It's as if they thought if you build it....they will come. No thought put into the design of things.
Cofffee station is layed out wrong. Urinals are set up weird.....trying to be artsy. Your guaranteed at least one pump is out of order.
As for the selection of hot food, at least Pilot/Flyings Js have pizza, burritos, etc.but this place has a roller grill with hot dogs & a few really bad burritos. Donuts are always stale and partially frozen from coming out of the freezer. -
Been there a couple times, last time the restaurants didn't accept pilot cards, and they're not even open at night. The hot food selection is crap. The urinals are absolutely ridiculous and a waste of their money. They seem to have a nice area upstairs with massage and I believe a chiropractor, though I haven't used either.

Great massage and huge laundry room. We always stop for showers there and the restaurant is pretty good.
dannythetrucker Thanks this. -
grand island is one of my top spots to park. and grab a meal.
it was the first truckstop i visited when i was in training. 14 years ago.
i actually like it better then walcott.paul_4lp and dannythetrucker Thank this. -
to each their own I guess, I really like the Grand Island Bosselman. Always parking and not too many potholes. The layout is unique, I remember being a bit confused when I first went in the restroom there but plenty of sinks, stalls, and urinals that's the main thing. I really can't say I miss the Flying J pizza and burgers but if that's your thing.
They do have a wider selection of chrome and flatbed supplies than most. I gotta admit, it's one of my favorites.
oh, and lot's of fuel pumps. don't think I've ever seen it backed up. gotta like that.truckon Thanks this. -
