The difference between love and PFJ is this...pilot is growing by buying competitors out while loves is growing by simply building...I'd say loves has some deep pockets...I read somewhere that loves plans on building 10-15 Locations a yr for the next 5years.

There is need of a major on some of these routes, and mostly, they find a place near enough to the competitors, but not right next door, an exception would be the one across from the Petro at Perrysburg, OH.

What? A Pilot across the street from a Flying J is not enough competition?[emoji12] [emoji201]

Still waiting to see when/if they are going to build a new one near Troy, Tx.

Interesting observation, the new Love's in Springville, UT has been open for about 6 months and is still pretty clean. Compared to the new one in Pecos which was trashed almost immediately. I know I will catch hell for this but I'm going to say that's because the Springville Love's isn't in the oil patch. Just saying.

I think the stop is more of an extension of the store manager. If the store manager is an organzied task manager, the store will reflect that and on the same coin, if the manger is a disorganzied ADD type, the store will be disheveled. This applies to all sorts of places, some mechanic's shops look like someone dumped a toolbox all over, others you could almost eat off the floor.
