As anyone who has ever stopped at tho Loves in Albuquerque knows, there is no parking. The guide says there is space for ten trucks. I guess they count parking in the fuel island. Anyways as I leave I see a sign at the empty lot across the way that says "8 hour parking $50". I thought yeah good luck with that.
Has that sign always been there? I just noticed it today.

that's gotta be a typo. There's plenty of places to park in ABQ, not like it's the northeast or something.

Eight hour parking for drivers who need to take a 10-hour break?
That's some rocket-fuel genius sign making right there!Red Hot Mess Thanks this. -
Pass through there at night there are always 5-6 trucks lined up on the side of the fuel island.
Definitely a stop to mark off the list. -
Pack Rat, I used to work for a heavy towing company in ABQ, do not park across the street, that lot is off limits, the sign is probably just some local scammer. You are right there is no parking at the Love's, I don't even think they have a shower. I would get my fuel there and go up the street to the TA or just West of there there is a Wal Mart off Coors that has some room.

I was just getting enough fuel to get me to El Paso with at least a 1/4 tank.

First, AND ONLY, time I stopped there the goofy eyed rent-a-cop got an attitude with me, sooooooooo, I got a better one back! Won't ever stop again, even if the fuel drops to a penny/gal!!!!!
As for Love's with parking and no showers, the one in Amarillo, TX @ x 60 is the same way. -
same thing at the love's in ky 1-75 exit 95 the book said 90 parking spots more like 40...
