I have a problem with how it's paid, or not, with some of them, taking a half an hour or more to get through the Que before you can leave is too darn long, but that only happened to me at the Petro at Bordentown, NJ. Don't lose your admission slip there, either.
I like how The Detroiter does it, give them a 10 spot, and if you leave within 4 hours or buy the required amount of merchandise, you get it back, no waiting for screwups and those unable to pay and no problems in the several times I've stopped there. If you have had trouble there, now is the time to elaborate.

Because I drive in an area without pay parking, I wonder, are the pay lots any cleaner and smell less of urine tuan the non-pay lots?

Did you actually drive down that 17% grade? (your profile pic) I've been a solo driver almost a month now, the highest I've been on was 11% grade for 1 mile in PA, I think on PA-61 going from Selinsgrove to Philly...

Those that pay for reserved parking are fools... Your simply shooting yourself in the foot... before you know it you will have to pay to park at every truck stop.... and then YOU guys who have been paying for reserved parking will be the first to come on here crying about it...
And the guy saying he writes it off on his taxes, how much are you actually saving at the end of the year doing that? LOL give me a break -
SHO-TYME, SheepDog, moosc and 1 other person Thank this.

There are a lot of entitled steering wheel holders out here that think that truck stops and Walmart and everything and everyone should cater to them, no matter how scummy and nasty they are, attitude and all. I'm for paid parking because those that I mentioned will go elsewhere. And I'm ok with that.
