I shut down for the night at Hood's outside of Springfield Missouri and noticed about half a dozen cattle trucks parked there.

That got me to thinking about how I never see those things at Loves or Pilot truck stops.

Mostly just the little ones like Cefco and such.

They probably don't want other drivers screwing with the cows. Or screwing the cows for that matter.

There's just too many drivers who don't shower on a regular basis who park at the big national chains. Because of that, the bullhaulers have taken to parking elsewhere. Because of the flies...

Sure, the cows are welcome at the big chain truck stops. As long as they are accompanied by a parent that is of legal age.

Most Bullhaulers will not park at a T-Stop at night, out of courtesy mostly. They pee and poop right out the sides of those things. Hubby always stayed at a sale barn, where that wouldn't matter so much.

Kinda off topic just a bit & I have NO experience with a bull wagon but, I though they had to go to a coral or somewhere every night to let the cattle out of the trailer over night...??? Then load'em back up & get on the road again.

Hilarious responses. I parked next to a bull hauler one night. Man, those cows were loud. Shaking the guys truck quite a bit too. And the pee and poo just flies out the side sometimes. Really gotta watch for it. Mad respect for those cowboys, I'm too city for all that.

Cows have more class than truckers!! Cows can come, cows can go but the Bull stays at a truckstop. No, you can keep them on a trailer from MD to TX. We would stop in mid Mo and sleep and let them rest on the trailer. OH Wait! That's illegal. We only went to IL and then walked to MO. Hated those runs but the worst one is OKC to Greely. You start at 7 or 8 PM and run all night to get there and there ain't nuthin between. Loved ABQ to TX or Wrn NM to TX, lots of downhill downwind running.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on the list.
