Again, if they are "acting" like military, I agree, it should be a crime. Getting free stuff or discounts for wearing the uniform. It's the same as "acting" like a police officer. If I walk around in a cop uniform or a military uniform and don't try to arrest people or get free coffee, I'm ok. It's a fine, stupid line, one of which I am not sure why one would want to tow, but it is there and they are free to tow it. Wearing a uniform is not a crime and shouldn't be. The moment I attempt to arrest a person or get free stuff for wearing a military uniform is when that line is crossed. At which point, I agree that person is stealing valor. Sitting in an airport in a military uniform while not being military is weird and stupid. Apparently, this person is such a loser in life they want to feel what it's like to have people look at you in a different way then the way people look at a mcDonalds fry cook. So they put on a uniform and enjoy the looks/attention they get from strangers. They get asked questions sometimes and they lie. Then a real military person comes along and asks them questions they cannot answer. Then all of a sudden they find themselves in violation of a law. Because they are "acting" like a military member. If a person wants to wear a uniform, so be it. Don't act like a member though. If someone asks you questions, just keep your mouth shut. Then you won't go to jail.

sorry about the long post but I feel it necessary to address this issue for it seems to me that it is a stepping stone for taking another one of our rights. This stolen valor thing seems to be gaining steam and a bunch of people think it's fine to just beat the hell out of anyone or jail anyone who wears a military uniform if they haven't served. And it's ridiculous. Our rights are being taken little by little every year and this is a small step to a bigger agenda. Keep your eyes open and see it for what it is. It's a loser wearing a uniform. So what? That's what America is about. Allowing people to express via mouth or dress what they want how they want. Weather you like it or not. Let's not forget that and understand it's these small issues which eventually turn into bigger ones. Once you say it's okay to stop people from wearing a certain type of clothing.....well, you get it. It's a slippery slope.

there is no reason for any military person to be ####y, at least not until they can win anything without the use of nukes.
The WWI vets can be proud,
I think that boss would have hated me,
Indiana had about 100 vet welfare bills this year, thank god most of the them got ignored and defeated.

This is why I call myself "ex" military and not "former". I am not proud of what we did and are doing. It's a scam. All of it. Undeserving of valor. And any fluoride head who thinks otherwise is a brainwashed mule. Ie; an animal used to serve a purpose. And only one purpose.

So... we'll have a bunch of wannabes and never-weres wearing these hats to go along with their claims of having been in the SEALs or Delta Force?
