Hello drivers!
I recently was pulled over by CHP for being on road where he said the max length is 65 ft. My truck with sleeper and 53 dryvan is around-72-73ft. I used that road close to 2 years and never was stopped. Theres no signs of truck restrictions.Theres even trucking companies located there and use that street every day. He said to me if theres no blue T sign, then you cant be on that street. I want to go court to fight this ticket.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Contact OOIDA; that organization loves that type of challenge.

The length limit in California is 65' everywhere except interstates & the national network. If you weren't making a pickup or delivery, you're not going to win.

What is the name of the city and street that you were on?

Advice? Stay in America. Avoid California, New York, etc. Probably not practical, but it's the only way you're going to avoid this nonsense.

Btw....I do on occasion haul OD loads that hang over the tail....
You do not need a permit in Cali for overlength until you exceed 100' IIRC....
But...If you are wider than 102"....Get that permit.....
