i love the rant on "job creators" who are helping the working man, the corporations not only pay no taxes, they get a few BILLION in tax incentive

but when the working man wants to work 10hrs overtime to make a few bucks to help himself, he is taxed at a 40% rate,

Yeah they do.Also have/had a deal with a local community college training program to deliver some of their Virginia freight.Local community college,by the way, runs VA state government- issued tags.Seems kinda unfair to other local haulers competing for the same freight.Karma may prove to be a B**** for them this time.

There are two Bros. who owns Beam Bros. Gerald and Garland. Gerald is a deacon and Sunday scholl teacher---fine outstanding human being:biggrin_2559: A pure a-hole. Garland is fairly decent. But all this is going to amount to is a fine and a slap on the wrist. Beam Bros. is too big of a mail contractor for the government to shut down, it ain't going to happen!

Yes he did go to jail, but they are shut down now. They tried to start a new company under his sons name and they shut that down too!

As a matter of fact, his church does. I'm a member...in all honesty, the owners are very good people. They have some office personnel that I can't say that about.

I saw this and just had to set the facts straight. I have been a driver for Beam Bros for 4 years and I've been driving for 18. I have worked for several different outfits and Beam is by far the best company I've been with. For the first year, I ran paper logs and never ONCE was I told to run illegally. NEVER!! When I was out of time, I was out of time. End of story. The 6 drivers that started all of this, not 7, were nothing more than whiney disgruntled ex-employees that were let go because they didn't do their job. Beam takes care of their drivers better than anyone out there. 98% of drivers are home everyday, the money is excellent, and even though we have mostly older trucks on the fleet, they are VERY well maintained. So please, get your facts straight and don't believe everything you read in the media.
