    The real reason they pay $4k, they can't read English. They must speak English to get CDL. No other reason to spend that much money.

    My admittedly limited experience suggests passing the road test is often no more difficult than the vision exam. My examiner was a ball-buster, those who tested my students passed everyone who managed to not crash, often going so far as to prompt them during the pre-trip.

    It still embarrasses me to think about it.
