Cars cause the accident 75% of the time, but trucks only make up 12% of the vehicles on the road...

The important thing is to read for comprehension. Far too many people apparently cannot detect "statistics" presented in forms obviously intended to mislead:
Each example may include a very small percentage of the 9000 crashes. 89%, 88%, 80% and 72% sounds like a lot, but the intended victim is left to question "Percentage of how many, you blithering idiot?"... or maybe not.
Few things are easier than convincing people of what they want to believe. They don't ask questions, they take the bait, run with it, and tell everyone what they think they've learned when they have learned no such thing. -
I can't help but feel 75% of those crashes could have been entirely prevented by the truck driver, but I think few, including truck drivers, are willing to give truck drivers credit for possessing that degree of skill, for some reason.. -

It's not prevent, but EXPECT what they are going to do and react accordingly, 75% of the time, you will be right.Moving Forward Thanks this. -
