I love that one piece where the name of the tractor that was pulling the Millis trailer was given as an "Intercontinental." I stopped taking the piece seriously after that. Especially when you have to use exclamation points in your graphic to make the statistics and talking points sound more important.

Maybe we should just all park our trucks, then there won't be any accidents. -
I think that big CNBC report, Collision Course, was a big bust. Barely a blip on social media. Almost nothing. Good. That will teach them to waste their money.

There's more and I passed it along to OOIDA and they should set the story straight next Land Line issue .

They danced around the money I guess they were too chicken to run upon their sponsors.

Yes but to a lawyer and a special interest group this was red meat in their quest to prove who's right and to control the government and control us.SHO-TYME Thanks this. -

I deal with thousands of these self-important dangerous car drivers everyday. And I can say confidently that it's over half that drive like this. The statistics show it as well. Car drivers are out of control. There is very little traffic enforcement put on cars. Very low education and training required to drive a car. They literally get their license out of a "Cracker Jack" box.
For a start, I think all cars should have electronic speed limiters set to the state's max speed limit in which they are registered. There is too much traffic to be driving like they drive. Next, there should be much stiffer penalties for the top 3 accident causes, speeding, following too close, and failure to yield right of way.
And some tips for car drivers from a trucker: 1)If you see me signal, it's for a reason and I need to do it now not in a minute. So sliw the heck down and give me room before we get tangled up and your attitude gets you killed. I'll most likely live. 2)The interstate is not the autobahn! Slow down! 3) Pay attention to what is going on! Throw your phone where you cannot reach it while driving. 4) Trucks are not the boogie man. We aren't trying to run you off the road. We see things way ahead and to the right that are happening and you may never see why we jumped over or nudged up on the edge of YOUR lane. Stop taking everything as a personal assault to your ego! -
Whew! Rant over!

rocky, well said... i'm coming back out of retirement to drive a truck for my son who wants to own trucks and hire veterans.. i'm, the test subject so to speak ... we are going to install a camera system that looks forward and back down both sides... two reasons... #1 footage will be invaluable training aid as to real world behind the wheel for our new hires... #2 if heaven forbide. there is an accident it will aid in proving causation .... might even send the stupid things other steering wheel holders do to their companies,, as anyone knows there are drivers out here that don't have enough training, then there are the I'm a big truck I own the road, get out of my way, (the idiots that drive 5 feet off the rear bumper of the vehicle in front of them), and of course the the 2 week know it all that can't or won't learn to do it right... as for the the stuff 4 wheelers do ... that footage ought to go to every major news media outlet... Sure could tie up the mail server... by the way the prices for a good camera set are falling...they are invaluable when the cop says whats your side and you can say I"LL SHOW YOU... here endth the rant be safe and prosper
