What do people in your state buy the most?

You can tell an awful lot about a state by the things its residents buy when nobody is looking.

Case in point: the paranoid folks in Oregon, who will know when anybody is watching them because they buy more surveillance and security equipment than any other state.

This is just one of the 51 curious retail revelations from eBay, which mined their data to find which products are most often bought in which states, adjusting for population. And while Oregon is tops on eBay for spy gear, people seem a lot more chill in Arizona, who leads the nation in flower purchases. New York, though, would seem to be squarely on Team #NoChill with all of its firearms and related supplies.

Things seem to be a bit more wholesome out in Idaho, where residents delightfully make the most toy purchases per capita in the country. We suppose this one in particular is quite popular there.

eBay took all its findings (from New Jersey's men's fragrances to Delaware's robotic vacuums) and built this map, showing off our collective weird purchasing habits. Looking at you, New Hampshire.
