drivers do get screwed. you can't say it isn't so.

i didn't appreciate spending the weekend in california for my reload on a load that could have waited till monday to deliver.
i like leaving at 7 p.m. and driving all night to make sure i get reloaded and go home. for the weekend. nope, which didn't happen. because i drove. and ended spending most of the day waiting to get unloaded. to which, by the way, only happens in california. and i don't pull a van.

    drivers screwed. a lot.

trucking isn't 24/7. our operation is home on the weekends.

so, your body is a machine???? and can adapt to any hours your company makes you work. and that everyone is weak because they get exhausted after 14 hours. and you don't.

    you sire, are A GOD.

Drivers get screwed because they allow it. Some, and you know this, are as dumb as the day is long. Hence my line I say constantly. Learn how to work. Cut your own deal.

You can program your body. Everyone can. It doesn't take much.

You are reading WAY to much into my words. First and foremost just like in any 9 to 5 job you have to be properly trained to do your job. Well in our line of work that also means you need to train your body to adapt. If you can't adapt then this isn't the line of work you should be in.

I don't consider myself a GOD because I can adapt. I consider myself able to do this job...watch that video again. He's asked several times if he discussed his concerns with his 1st shift dispatcher. His answers are very sketchy. I don't believe he was FORCED to do anything. I think he chose to handle it in his own way which involved keeping himself up for 10 straight hours and then start working to prove a point.

I would like to know how he spent that 10 hour break. However nobody but him will really know

I can say it because I've watched this industry go down the tubes with "drivers" who have an entitlement mentality and not to mention the type of people who are flocking to trucking, and let's be honest, less than brilliant. When you can raise the IQ of the drivers coming in, then you can say drivers are being screwed over. I'm sorry man, but I've seen too much to believe that these "poor, poor drivers" are being screwed by everyone from the planners to the DOT. Nonsense. It doesn't work that way.

If you've been a driver for any length of time, you learn how to program your body. This isn't rocket science. #### I'm tired of having to argue a point that should be common sense to any driver worth his salt.
