I can see why the likes of McDonalds want to give their coffee away. I certainly wouldn't buy any of their stuff. The best coffee I taste is on my truck. Electric kettle, boiling water and a French Press does the trick. Grinding the beans fresh everyday makes it even better. It's taken a long time to master the fine art of making a great cup and I know it's way cheaper than what any truckstop can offer. And tastes great at all times, but it's like anything else, the way I like mine is going to be different for somebody else's preference.
But I hate weak coffee.
Good luck.LGarrison, "semi" retired and Team Sohn Thank this. -

Sip, ahhhh. Everyday is coffee day for me. I'm a Folger's "Classic Roast" kind of guy, and I agree with Doc, McDonald's coffee gives me immediate heartburn. The one thing I can't stand, is a weak cup of coffee. I was in a truck stop in Ga. once, waitress brought me a cup of coffee, and I could see the bottom of the cup, and it tasted like it. I said, "my dear, that was the lousiest cup of coffee I've ever had". She looked at me like I was from Mars. Best cup ever? Small cafe in central Wis. The guy that served me looked a little strung out, and I tell you what, that cup got me home and then some.

Got two bags of Starbucks French Roast the other day from a driver unloading where I was (C&S in Greenville, SC)....had a few damaged and offered me a couple. I gladly accepted, and am on my third cup this morning in the comfort of my home. Back on the road Thursday.

It's funny going into places that have 62 varieties of coffee, and I say, "just give me a plain cup of coffee, do you have that? Yeesh". Like ice cream, 34 flavors, and the best selling flavor is vanilla.
