I just finished watching it.
Good show. They asked 10-12 companies plus ATA to come on...only one company did, Werner.
They had some others, OO's, OODIA guy and an economist. Personally I thought it was a well represented group.
The ATA really showed their ##### by their comments as to why they wouldn't come on, but then again they are industry shills.
Lots of subjects talked about, and I'm glad this is getting some air time.
Rather says he will do more shows in the future...I sense that he feels there is some dirt that needs to be uncovered.
They say that this program will be available on Itunes.rookietrucker, future driver, RACEFAN and 2 others Thank this. -
kajidono, kickin chicken, LavenderTrucker and 4 others Thank this.

Panelists continue to examine driver training, other issues during 2nd Rather report

If these claims are not true by Ms Wood, What is your fear of her ? Once again, ATA has shown, they are not working for the trucking industry.

Rather commented that he couldn't why the ATA would not come on the show because of Wood...he said it doesn't make much sense that the 6.5 BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY would not show show up because of one woman. (I'm paraphrasing, but that was the essence)
He (Rather) also made it VERY CLEAR that the companies invited and the ATA would have 20 minutes to explain their side of the equation.
Again the only company that come to the discussion was Werner. Which by the way, represented themselves very well...kudos to them.kickin chicken and LavenderTrucker Thank this. -
Despite of the fact that Desiree Woods from Covenant Transport is in the show, this time Covenant did not tell anybody about it, no message on the QC, nothing. They don't want anybody to know... She called me today and asked to spread the news, I didn't even know... She went to Covenant terminal at Hutchins, TX to have a light bulb changed, and they didn't let her in... You can download the show on iTunes. Hopefully very soon it will be available for free somewhere.

She has managed to intimidate a multi-billion dollar industry! By telling the truth and letting the public see a glimpse into this industry's closet full of skeletons and dirty laundry, she has them all too scared to speak!!! She is my newest highway hero, correction, highway heroine!
You go, girl!!!Rocks Thanks this. -

Was going to post the link to watch the show yesterday but couldn't open this site (Truckers Report)... Wish newbies, CDL students, experienced drivers, everybody in this industry would watch this show. And hope more interviews and discussions like those happen more often. BTW, sorry I mispelled Desiree's last name in my previous post. Came back to re-edit but it was too late. The function was disabled...
Fratsit and ampm wayne Thank this. -
Just finished watching the show. Found it interesting that 3 of the 5 panelists were "industry insiders" and only two were current drivers, that and not much was heard from either of the current drivers. Instead more was heard from WERNER, OOIDA and the econimncs professor about the Statistics of driving versus the on the road facts of life. I would like to also see more indepth investigation done about the facts of life behind the wheel, as well as increased training standardization.
