    More cabovers if you will, I think they are some of the coolest trucks in the world. I love it when I see an old cabover still out here trucking, makes me wonder about all the stories the guy behind the wheel must have, because like the topic says, they're definately "old school cool".

    That looks like an old TransCon truck with a 250 or shiney 290.

    That truck was built before Freightliner realized doors were supposed to be built into the truck, not hung on the outside. I've seen more than one that laid over onto the side, the door came off, and the dash was pushed into the driver.

    When I was 7 or 8 years old, well over 40 years ago, cabovers were pretty much all I saw. The Kenworth Aerodyne started my infatuation with big trucks. From then on, I knew I wanted to drive a big truck someday.

    Here's a picture of one that I captured from a website of a guy that restored one. I don't know the guy and I sure hope he doesn't mind me showing off his truck. His photo album is located here:
