According to what I have read, and been told by a company safety director, the CSA2010 will eliminate upto 170,000+ drivers and upto 49% of trucking companies. So, the public will soon find out what high prices are.
This is government sanctioned at a time in our country that does not need this.
I feel sorry for the all the drivers, new and old that will be told to park their truck and go home, and not be able to get another job due to this new and retarded point system.
Hey if milk goes upto $10 and bread $5,so be it.Lets see who complains about trucks then.
Why a strike? The CSA 2010 will cripple trucking.

If they would up it to around 64% then alot of the crash dummies would be back where they came from
MrMustard Thanks this. -
If this happens, I guarantee the govt will step in (gods help us all!) and create even MORE problems.
-
lol, what are they going to do, call the UN in to drive trucks

I am just quoting what I read on the web about this, and what was told to me by a safety director. That company already fired 2 drivers that started accumulating too many points.......
Look if this happens it's not going to be pretty, being fired and told to find your way home and face no more work in the trucking field.
I would like to see how many get chopped at SWIFT,WERNER,COVENANT & the other "mill" companies.
As far as I understood it,this will affect all CDL holders. If I am wrong I am sorry....... -
You have to watch those numbers, such as there may be 3 million CDL holders however 1 million are prob just starting out, I havent checked it lately but only 10% of new CDL holders were still in trucking within 6 months. Its kind of like the unemployment numbers no a true number for the real world
big wheels Thanks this. -
Your not wrong MCR, everyone knows its coming and Ive already seen some companies taking all the precautions they can. But it will not all be negative. Sooner or later it will fall under the old supply and demand rule. When the number of qualified drivers goes down , the pay will come up
halfburn and big wheels Thank this.
