One of the things that freaks me out, and I don't know the legal system, maybe someone can explain, but they released this guy on a signature bond,( now you promise to pay, oh, I will, uh huh) didn't pay a dime, walks out of jail, what's to prevent this guy from hopping on a plane to Tahiti (or where ever), change his name, and never be seen again?
He drives for Werner. You think he can afford a plane ticket to Tahiti? ;)

I know that intersection well it is the first light after downgrade speed limit from 65 to 55 there are signals that flash on a sensor telling you if you will need to stop , veryslight right hand curve as you approach not a blind intersection , where 229 ends crosses and her to Norton road for the east west traffic is not smooth has varying heights as you cross 23 , I have always thought of it as a dangourous intersection , it is ferry wide , and the sensor timers for n and s bound seem to have little to no variance if it starts flashing just as you passed warning it will hit yellow then change red in like two or three seconds and even if at 55 makes for a fairly abrubt stop , it is a nice hi way, just the east west transition is kinda uneven , my prayers go out to ALL the family's and persons involved , and it don't have anything to do with what color stripe the truck had as in company name it could happen to any of us at any time. ........

We have to stop making excuses for this guy. Cut down the trees, more warning lights, slight curve, lower the speed limit, all baloney! This guy wasn't paying attention and plowed into stopped traffic killing 2 people, off to the gallows!

You're not getting my phone without a court order. Period.

Agreed. Lesson to be learned from this: Never drive faster than your sight distance will allow you to come to a full stop if necessary. Warning signs / lights not required.

There you go spouting that common sense stuff again...don't you know it barely exists any longer?? (insert choice of sarcasm-implying smiley here....mine isn't working for some reason!)

Tahiti might make some sense, though, if he can scramble the cash because he might find work there. He's driven his last truck.
