    I did a search and found this, its about the same a STexan found.

    Flash point Auto-ignition
    Diesel (2-D) “>52 °C (126 °F)” “ 256 °C (493 °F)”


    Diesel 1D 100 F
    Diesel 2D 126 F
    Diesel 4D 130 F

    During the last half of the 60's I was a jet engine mechanic of B-52's & KC-135's. I recall well we had a bucket on our truck with fuel filters along with a half of bucket of JP-4 fuel. You could throw a cigarette in it & the cigarette would go out.

    I tired to find if today's diesel fuel had a lower flash point that yesterdays, did not find anything on that.
