The more I see these wrecks everyday, the less chance I'll ever set foot in another semi. So sad. Again, always a big mystery as to what happened. Why don't they just come out and say, driver of car not paying attention? Like a truck crash at 3 am, truck goes off the road, officials are baffled. Where's the wagon?

Exactly.... Instead of saying "alcohol is not believed to be a factor" or speed was not believed to be a factor" how about saying "stupidity is believed to be a factor." Senseless!! Absolutely senseless!! People have no respect for mortality anymore. Maybe that's because they stopped showing the gory bloody car wreck movies to new drivers in driver's education. That got my attention but we wouldn't want to offend anyone, death is so much more pleasant. Incredible and what a waste!

Me too semi, me too:biggrin_25513:. It also reminds me to be very thankful for my accident-free 20yrs otr I served. I came off the road in 2009 for family issues thinking I would return to trucking when Family issues were resolved. Watching the world fall into KAOS (99/86/Hymie:biggrin_25525:) I feel like returning to otr would be pushing my luck and I've been luckier than I deserve over the past 62 yrs. Happy trails drivers, stay safe.

I don't know for sure the reason the car ran head-on into me, broad daylight, dry roads, no evidence of mechanical failure, but for some reason they decided to come head-on into my left front tire. Another truck form our company was involved in a similar head-on that they think was a suicide.
