Did you go through a tollbooth without getting a ticket?

Right, but I've been in Jersey a gillion times.. in fact, in 2007, drove for a local company in Lansdale, PA and delivered off exit 12 of the NJTP.... never heard of this before, and went through several DOT/NJ DPS checks right off the exit. I was at C&S Metro 3-4 times a week.

Supposedly the State of Maine will hit you with a "unsecured load" fine if you have loose dirt on your trailer landing gear.

While it doesn't surprise me that certain jersey cops would try writing you up for not noting time etc..it is BS---but if you want a laugh--next time you are up there(preferably late at night)pull over before the toll booths(getting on)and read the signs stating the rules on the turnpike--it is afull size highway sign-(with small print--lol)-that I suppose you are expected to read as you pull into toll booths

Wasn't a violation but during an inspection in southern Ohio on SR-50 a DOT officer made one of our drivers "discharge his fire extinguisher to prove it worked":biggrin_2551: So to avoid a confrontation he did it, which of course makes it worthless. His supervisor got a pretty interesting phone call from my uncle. We received an apology, not sure how your supposed to put a fire out with that but I'm not a "trained officer of the law". I suppose if I ever get a ticket for a bad extinguisher I'll offer the cop an apology instead.:biggrin_2559:

this is true 'olhand, i noticed those signs coming out of ny on the pike... its actually a big sign and the lettering is pretty big...
iv always wondered about it, if they actually enforce it, and supposedly they do, had a local driver get hit for it...
they also have a " Truck Network " as well.... dk what that means, but i know in VT if your off the " Truck Network " you get in some trouble... happened to me.... 3 days oos waiting on VT to issue me permits, i didnt mind of course, i was getting paid by the day at the time....

I personally think he "forgot" to get a ticket from the entry toll or his E-Zpass wasn't working. I can't think of any other scenario that warrants his story.

I know a guy that (oops, broke the OP rules), I do it all the time, lol. But he got a ticket for gravel on his landing gear.
