Comments on SNPRM about eobrs

I find that anything thats intrusive to me needs to made unintrusive and try to accomplish thta everytime I get a chance.
Those who bend over will only get screwed more.
I very seldon every drive ever get my eleven hours in a day.
It don't stop me form seeing the real big picture and trying to take action before hand. I'm bothered by these people cause they try and emforce what they don't legally and lawfully claim to be doing.

Thats a stupid statement laws are written all the time that are unconstitutional and the USC does trump them when they are tossed. You have said the samething I already said just reversing words. The eobr issue has been kicked once already.

You want to fire everyone who doesn't share your same ideas and dreams of the trucking industry, you'd really make a good king ray-ray lahood employee. First an ommision isn't a lie, you need to look it up if in doubt. Forgetting or leaving something out isn't circumventing either it's just not there, plain and simple. You keep making it seem like it's in the rules it's not. or not yet.
The only judicual rulling the issue has had already it was tossed on harrassement issues. Even ooida has made it known and filed on 4th and 5th issues too. Only you can't see it. Since the VAST majority of citizens have no clue about trucking laws and regs I took some of the harder to digest laws to church with me one Sunday. We were having a discussion about another topic obviously but I wanted to get the opinions of reasonable people in my area, only one of which had anything to do with trucking. They used the following words(yes I wrote them down) "flabbergasted", "scary", 'wow I had no idea there was even a problem", "your joking right", "I fought against this in WW II", "I'm afraid we are about take that plunge over the cliff", "WONDER WHO IS NEXT"

The last comment is indeed the real question "(I) WONDER WHO IS NEXT" So you may think MOST people agree with you but no matter how many people tell you otherwise your gonna stick to your higher moral ground and not listen to us.

Its OK with people like you if this country changes into something scary, socialist, communist or worse because in your distorted view of things YOUR THE GOOD GUY, YOU GO ALONG.

AFTER our last discussion on the topic I realized something my problem is much less with the laws and regs than it is with you, and your kind. Its people like you molding this country into something you view as UTOPIA. You chasing an UNREALISTIC GOAL.

Your VISION of a UTOPIA where everybody does what they are told, NO ONE ever gets hurt, never breaks the laws, pays enough in taxes that EVERYBODY gets healthcare and bla,bla,bla,bla WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

I think you nailed it, he's just a driver and not a business owner and the big companies would rather raise profits than hiring drivers that can form complete thoughts. This is why we are seeing more and more regulations, the pilots and wal marts gobbling up the small business and the demise of the truly independent business owner.

 

This is what I see also and many really will one day step back, or be PUSHED BACK, and think BECAUSE THAT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAY IT OUT LOUD " What have we done"

EOBR's are a joke! When i was leased onto a major carrier i had one. They did more cheating on that EOBR so i could get loads picked up then i ever did on a paper log. So if you are one of those clowns that want one, great, go work somewhere that has them. But EOBR's don't have one thing to do with saftey. They are just a cattle prod for companys to bug you while your sleeping.

This is just the truth from someone who had one, but now gets more rest without that stupid thing in my truck now.

Who is applying logic?! If you give them more power they take it and run with it. Almost every thing you spoke of I 100% agree with but your just NOT APLLYING LOGIC if you think for ONE SECOND they would stop. With the FMCSA haven't you figured out yet WE ARE ALWAYS THE BETA TEST!

They try it one us if they get away with it they turn to EVERYONE ELSE and start taking their freedoms. Trucks allow almost every dreamed up control system our government can make up and apply!

All the systems you stated started, almost all, off small and then expanded into something ALL POWERFUL.
