In my defense, my carrier only uses 2 shippers, and it's a specific product for dedicated contract accounts. Normally, at a carrier where you don't know where you are going from one day to the next, I would say 30 min for the check in process.

I'm using paper logs, and I'm pretty much told to "back up" my clock as much as possible to make for as much drive time as possible. I'm doing what I'm told is all, however I am on the look out for a better place, that even uses elogs to get out of lying as much as they tell me I need to.

Being paid by the and not per mile. You will need to log on duty not driving as your time keeping must match during a audit. If you log book is not the same as your time on your paycheck then it is a false time keeping. Both the driver and company will be in violation.

That is correct sitting in your cab while @ the shipper/receiver can be logged Line 1 or 2 I would put it on line 4 if I can get these cheap schmucks to pay me $$$ per hour I have no problem with that
