Because a lot of that money doesn't stay here. It goes elsewhere. Just like when Mexicans or other South American natives come here to work. Good people. Hard workers. Don't have any issues with them. The money does not stay here. It's sent to their respective countries and we slip down a few more pegs. We have lost too many jobs due to outsourcing when it comes to corporate greed. We don't need to lose what's left.

Hey man, globalizations is an inevitable part of progress; I'm not a fan of progressive ideology- but we cannot escape the change, unfortunately.
I'ma hop off now. I have other things to do. I just want to leave you with a thought- what if it were you? What if you were just trying to feed your kids, give them a better life than you had, a chance at it at the very least?

But that's life, someone's gotta get screwed so I can have the things I don't need. Just so long as it isn't me.

This is a one time deal....either cool it with the bickering, insults, and posting in a foreign language or I'll be taking stronger measures to stop it.

I used to be of the mindset where I agreed with you there. But I watched the toll it took here. In our country. There's nothing wrong with wanting better. Nothing at all. But it's come at a price for the people in our country. Which, honestly, is my major concern. We fought for a better way of life here. So can they in their own countries. Don't come here to make it on the opportunities we built for ourselves when you're not willing to fight to make the changes in your own homeland.

Lock down both borders. Switch the freight from US trucks to Canadian/Mexican trucks at the borders. Many problems solved.

I'm all for equal trade. I think it's about time you Canadians have to go through the same B.S. we have to go through when we go north. If I was in charge you could pick your stuff up at the border off our trucks. Oh and if your truck is under 260 wheelbase you have to buy a special permit too!

    Joetro and MrIT Thank this.

You know you've been on the road too long and when your wife says your son got detention and you ask how much did they pay him.

    No thanks.

Canadian drivers work in Canada, American drivers work here. We'll take a load up, bring one back. Your drivers bring one down, and then take one back home. Everybody's happy.

So says the one whose standard of living is lower then the country whose borders he wants removed.

Joetro, Moon_beam and Cetane+ Thank this.
