D.O.T.

Not that I'm aware of but oh my goodness, nearly everyone is getting pulled over. I am wondering the same thing. I work in IL and just about every mile marker, there's three or four trucks getting D.O.T'd.. and that's just w/o the scales.

 

Not up by Chicago today, though last week, on 294 they were picking on the big rigs.

 

Its not a blitz per say but I do believe there was a memo sent out. For the first time in 10 years they opened up HWY 77 NB. 2 weeks ago I pulled into a gas and shop to get some advil counted 8 cars and a truck. They must have been having a conference morons were bragging about how many trucks they'd popped that day for various "violations" I high tailed it out of there. If I would've had my valve core remover there would've been 8 patrol cars and a truck carrying portables that wouldn't have been going anywhere.

 

SC was unusually busy yesterday on 85. Had so many pulled in there was just room enough to go thru and back out onto the highway. Quite the party they were having out back. Never seen it that way there before. Thankfully the prepass said go driver go hehehe.

Virginia on 81 had quite a few pulled around back on both ends beginning and end of th week when we came through as well

 

There was a trooper vehicle involved in a truck accident on 57 a couple of weeks ago. They get hard on them after such events. In Indiana, there was a truck that crossed the median on 20 and crushed a car. Again, they push hard. In addition look at the many pile ups.

 

heard highway patrol was pulling trucks over. NB 15 at the utah/az stateline.

first time i've heard of it at that port.

 

I noticed a lot of trucks pulled over Thursday in the Detroit area, fortunately they were on the other side of the road this week. They seemed to be targeting container hauling trucks since the accident a couple weeks back where three people were killed.

 

Got a level three in Illinois near Peoria Thursday. Trooper was respectful, everything was fine. But yes, Illinois has been pulling over more trucks than usual.
