I have 20% on my windows. Never had dot say anything about it. I only run NY and PA but NY isn't the most truck friendly state

Ive had it for 6 years without issue. Not saying that one day they wont say something. I just try not to make a big issue about things, so they notice small things like the tint,

In TX you have to pay the fine, in NM you can take the tint off, take pictures of your windows with no tint and send them to DOT and you will not pay anything, at least it was like this about 5 years ago when I got it. I had my 50% tint which is the lightest one you can find and still got a ticket in TX. Since then no tint and no throwing away money anymore :biggrin_255:

20% as in only 20% of light is transmitted through the window

20% of light transmitted through window. means your 80 % tinted. pretty dark there.

the window on my truck. measures 22 %. factory tint. that means 78% light is transmitted through the window. that only gives me 8% i can add to the already stock tinted window.
