Heard from an unreliable source, (guy in a truckstop) that the government is banning all older trucks before 2015, unless they are already running on the road, then there good. Is this true? I really hope this guy is pulling my leg because I have a couple of older projects that are in no way of being done before 2015. Any info on this would me much appreciated!
thanks!
Zach

Rumor based on the California CARB requirements concerning engine age (Not tractor age). Basically it is set up in California that every year engines produced before a specified year may not operate there. The actual fear (rightly so) is that a similar law will be adopted on a national level.

Yup. You're right. It was an unreliable source.

haha thanks guys!

It's going to happen. eventually. just not 2015. or next year for for that matter.
-
Im Not too sure about that....Even with an 'Eventually' ideasm..
Think about it Folks.....Since The Dawn of Time, I cant think any any organization,Group,Or Phase of Government to 'Ban' people of motor vehickles..
Not until this CARB,,,
I Suppose Now it gives any and every state to do what they want.
Hey,Can I ask a Good question folks...... Whats Wrong With us? Seriously?
Isnt it still "We,The People" ?snowblind Thanks this. -
States' rights vs federal law. Those who scream about States' Rights are now screaming California should not have done this. Lol. Remember what you ask for.....
EZX1100 Thanks this. -
california did it to their own state - a right they clearly have BUT when they decide to include other state's trucks, they stepped out of the state's right privilege into a only federal right - to make sure all the states play nice. -
