our work week is 8 days. now start you're week at 5am on monday. work 14 hrs until 7pm. do that mon, tues, wed, thur, fri, end week at 7pm on friday. thats 70 hrs, start a 34 reset that ends on sunday at 5am. work 14 on sunday and monday which is the 8th day. that my friends is 98 hrs in 8 days. so why is it so bad that we can't do more than one reset in a week??? THAT would reduce the number of hours worked in 8 days. and we would have more rest if we want or need it. and the FMCSA is all about SAFETY. yeah, right!!!!

i come up with 84 hours in 8 days times 14 hours. 6 days worked, 2 days off.

that might be a likely scenario for the first 8 days. but your talking starting on monday the first week. and sunday the second week. your going to be used up by thursday. your going to be sitting on friday with no hours. and can't start your reset till 7 p.m. on friday night,. you can't run a recap because friday is the 8th day. recap don't fall till 9th day. which means saturday you pick up 14. technically speaking.
HOWEVER, i'm running the scenario on my laptop logbook program. and my cellphone log book app.
you've got the 96 hours in 8 days. but the second week on friday has 0 hours. satruday also has 0 hours. sunday also has 0 hours. there's a 14 recap showing for monday but when you click on monday. then you've got the full 70. so you've got nothing to drive for 3 days.
if it were 1 program i'd say may be a glitch. but 2 programs. both leave you hanging for 3 days on the second week. might not be an issue, if we don't have the 168 hour crap between resets.
if anyone else is running some type of electronic program. may be they can run the scenario and see if they come up with the same thing. -
