    395.1 states:

Utility service vehicles. The provisions of this part shall not apply to a driver of a utility service vehicle as defined in § 395.2.

If you qualify as a utility service vehicle, then the officer should not have written you a log book ticket. I suggest you contact the organization that issued you the citation and ask them to rectify it. When one of my people issue a citation in error and I find out by checking their reports or by phone calls fromn the drivers, I go to work getting the citation voided out. You should be able to accomplish this over the phone.

No agency wants to go to court on a ticket issued when it shouldn't have been and thrown out. It makes the officer look bad and the ogranization he works for look bad. They should make it a priority to fix their mistake long before it gets to that point. I know I would.

There is no reason for you to have to travel for a court appearance and you should not accept a warrant being issued in any state from an officer's error.

Plus depending upon your state, your license could be suspended for non-payment of fines issued in other states.

You should be able to do it by mail. Also take that company to court over the IFTA and log book violations.
