Company I work for operating authority revoked due to various violations couple days ago. Telling me they have about got it fixed but from what I've heard it takes a minimum of thirty days to get it re established. They have another dot # and are trying to swap over and run under it. Is that legal? If they do and I drive and am checked am I liable for violating any laws?

There's more to the story.
been down that road myself. I won't make disclosure on the forum as to the following event. but that one was reinstalled in 10 days.jlpreach Thanks this. -
I don't think the FMCSA would take kindly to this deal. They'd be what the FMCSA calls a "Chameleon Carrier". It's a big no-no. Run.
joseph1135 and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
there nothing to prevent trucks bein leased on to someone using their authority -
He didn't mention leased on to anyone else.

Thats kind of like in the days gone by Some drivers allegedly may have had multiple licenses, this would allow them to keep the license clean for there home state.... Not that I woudl know anyone like that, but a company having and using different DOT numbers may be looked at kind of the same way, allegedly .
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
They may get up and running again, but I'd be pursuing other options unless there is something you really, really love about working for this carrier. getting your authority revoked takes a major screwup and/or terrible management to accomplish. There's too many good carriers out there to work for a lemon.
jlpreach, Big Don and joseph1135 Thank this. -
I remember my dad getting in some trouble and heading to Jersey... -
