Fourteen hours a day without a log book, never heard of that one.

That's the same in Nevada. Don't need a log book for under 100 air miles.

If I could find local 12 hr driving that would be sweet. Here its within a hunded mile radius but have yet to find a local company that doesn't work up to your 14.Companies are going to find ways around the system by making them do logs.

Unfortunately that is the the growing trend along with paying % on local loads. Just another way for some of these cheap a s s companies take advantage when the job market is as bad as it is. Hard for newer drivers to make a decent living whether it is otr, regional or local.

My state handed me a federal cdl manual and said follow it, and it says my employer decides what hours they're running me, so that's the plan. I'll merely suggest we don't do the 60/7 thing if it comes up.

states very. Mine sets there own rules. Some don't. It all depends. I don't leave my state so I don't deal with federal anything.
