Scale and weight question

    Can I pick up a permit from the weigh station? And I know I need a permit but how do I go about getting one on Veterans Day

    So, you have a single axle truck and trailer, that's 52K lbs. You must have overweight permits. Go through a broker, they can get them in a few hours.

    No it's 5 axle step deck trailer the truck can run 80k but the company set it at 52000 because it's cheaper

    Okay, so you have to call a permit broker then. Call your company and tell them. You can get permits within a few hours except on holidays, and today is not one of those. Next (permit) holiday is Thanksgiving, and those are only usually limited to daytime hours.

    Best way is online. permitcompany.com or just do a Google search.
    I personally would just run on through. Chances of getting pulled in are slim to none on a holiday, especially with a 5-axle setup at 52xxx lbs unless you're over axle. Of course that's would I would do, not what you should do! :)

    And your company should already have a broker that does permits with a 52K lb registration. Have you called them?

    I don't think you can permit it, they need to raise the weight on the prorated tag. Or you could leave your girl friend at home😀 seemed they played it light to avoid HUT
