Just pull over any RV in the summer. Enough open bottles of liquor to open your own liquor store. 12" knives in the kitchen. And mom has an unmarked plastic pill case that is labeled M T W T F S S. All of these are illegal.

nope, you wrong, as if you made a disturbance, or someone called the police out because they thought something not right going on, and the police come see you in your truck with alcohol, you, and your truck would both be toast. doesn't matter if you on private property or public, alcohol in a truck is a big no no. and a thing only a foolish person would risk doing.

You can drink all you want in your truck at a truck stop. It's not illegal.

lmao...tell that to the guy that took 34 hours off, walked up to the nearby store bought him some beer, came back to the truck, threw the fishing line into the water...forgot his smokes walked back to the truck with open container, got his smokes was met by an officer and lost his truck, and job......

drinking outside the truck legal, drinking in the truck no so legal, and drinking in a truckstop...well that doesn't seem too legal either considering most times at truckstops they have this sign that reads something drinking of alcohol on premises is illegal? anyways....

i like to drink just as much as the next person but you won't catch me with it in my truck/trailer.

I guess I wasn't aware you had to have special permits to haul alcohol. Must have been a rule change since 1994. That was the last time I pulled a reefer trailer. When at that company I hauled beer several times, and even a truck load of kalua once. Never had any alcohol permits in the permit book.

think it depends on which state you haul to or threw, as certain states require alcohol permits. think nm, needs one and there are a few others cant remember though off top of head.

Oh, OK. So it'd be a trip permit thing like an OD load. Thank you. That's something for me to keep in mind if ever I do go back to pulling a reefer.

ya can drink in your truck all ya want as long as your on private property and not disturbing the peace ...do not have undocumented alcohol in your cab or trailer on a public road tho ! and company policy will probably forbid it all together .
used to be an east coast liquor hauler and most of the booze houses in ny nj md ky and pa wont load ya till they see a valid liquor permit .
if havin a brew in your truck was illegal on private property half of hubbard oh would have a dui most nites .

    Skate-Board Thanks this.
