Yeah, I have VIN plate, GVWR/GAWR plate, and some stickers on the axles from the axle manufacturer, but there is not an "insp." per se on it. Thanks again for the info, appreciate it.

I guess I am wondering if the Cop that stopped me with the Pete, not knowing whether I was Interstate, Intrastate, or Private, might have thought if lic. in my home state was not required by state rules? Kansas has no state insp. on Private vehicles.

But I do remember him telling me that because I thought it odd.

No issues, but what is the C.B. Lingo, you lost me on that one? Even reread the post thinking I had some Freudian slip.

As far as I'm aware, if you bought it new, the manuf. is required to do one before it leaves their hands. All NEW equip. I've ever used has had them. I may be mistaken, but I would call the manufacturer for the heck of it and see if they'll spring for having one done (or do it themselves....)

When I picked up my new trl. from Trail King in 2008, it did not have a fed insp sticker.
I had to get it done at an outside shop

What brand did you end up buying? I passed one of your guys on 70 a couple weeks ago when I was bouncing from Ft Collins to St Louis. I'm going to stop being lazy and buy another trailer this year. I like the rear on this one. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=5894479

That is a nice trailer fcg, I bought 8 new Sun Country's, they are the Nex Gen 5 car but without the front deck, so 4 car, ( I have my reasons).

Although the Chaparral's have served us well, and are in very good shape, (just put all new Hendrickson axles under them 18 months ago) we just don't haul that much really heavy stuff any more, seem to be more on the OEM side the last couple of years.

I also went single axle on the trailer so I will only be 3 axle total with my S/A Cascadias, just trying to lower my operating cost on tolls, tires, fuel mileage etc. we'll see how it works out.

I am also keeping a custom built 3 car single axle that I had built in 2013, that will go behind my Pete for a spare, I had thought about keeping the Chaparral's but I think now I am just going to sell them off.

I hate having equipment sitting around that I am not using, seems like wasted money?
