Have a bit of an interesting question for the CSA experts. I was looking to change companies, and decided to pull my PSP. I paid the 10$ and was surprised that it was empty. No violations or inspections at all. I got stopped 3 times in Ohio in the last 18 months.

My license has always been from Texas, never had one from any other state. 15 years driving experience in total. I was worried that those stops would really hurt me.

It turns out that when I was hired, the company entered my drivers license as being from California. I never even noticed it until I logged into the companies network see my personal data.

I then pulled my PSP again, Using my DL number for both CA and TX. The stops are listed under CA, but not TX.

Question time... Will a company re-report these violations once the drivers license issue is fixed, and then they show under the correct state? If I go to look for another carrier and keep my mouth shut, can they find out if they are not on my PSP?

Edit: Link to PSP reports, minus personal info.

The company doesn't report, the states do. Violations are added to the database when the inspection is done. It's possible that the violations that you received do not carry driver points. Not all violations involve driver points.

Three separate stops. Speeding 11-15. Failure to Obey traffic control Device. Speeding under 5 over.

I know the first two carry 7 and 5 points. My CSA points should be 29 points at a minimum. But my PSP has nothing on it. Only the speeding 11-14 was a ticket, the other two warnings. At each stop I was given the DOT form that the carrier must send to the state.

Edit: My PSP only using TX shows nothing. My PSP using CA shows all three violations. License was showing CA only in computer of company I work for. Valid TX CDL for 15 years.

"(However, infractions issued by state law enforcement won’t be included in the PSP reporting. For that information, you’ll need to make a direct request through your state’s DMV.)"

It seems that PSP's are reported by the companies, not the LEOs.

Your PSP score is the least of your worries there. Forget your PSP; any new company that you apply to will show you the door after looking at your MVR. By the time your MVR clears up, your PSP will be cleared up as well.

If you weren't inspected when you received the citations, there will be no CSA points. No inspection = no points.

It appears that there was no inspection done when the citations were issued. The companies do not report to CSA, only the states do. No inspection = no CSA points.

Warning do not go onto state MVRs. My MVR only shows the speeding ticket of 11-14 and nothing else. Its the first ticket I had gotten since 2005.

An inspection was done however. All three times. The violations are showing up under my name and dl number, only for the wrong state. If I dig thru my records, I could probably find all three inspection reports and the receipts for having to fax them to my company.

This is a unique situation I am finding out.

    C & C Thanks this.

Well, let's look at it this way... Since you are upfront and forth-coming with all the info on here (to a bunch of strangers, I might add) why would you not explain all this to a potential new company. Would you want to start off a new job withholding info that might get you fired if you DIDN'T say anything?!?

Being honest about it (IMHO) is the best course of action. It may keep you from getting hired, but at least then you know you still have your integrity.
