My boss is looking for 2 drivers currently to add in for 2 trucks he just bought. He only runs late model trucks & we get new reefer units. I personally drive a 2012 587 with in cab navigation, satellite radio, fridge, TV (basically the works) pulling a 2 month old TK C-600. Reefer is not hard honestly & he would hire someone to train them but either way you would have to have a good CSA score & decent MVR (no exceptions). Our trucks are not governed but he does not tolerate tickets of any sort (walk in with a huge speeding ticket & expect to be shown the door, your a grown adult not a child. If that is a problem you would be better off at a mega carrier truthfully. He cares about his CSA score & his reputation). Prepass on all trucks & comdata fuel cards. Logs are either, paper or elog your choice. Maintenance is done on the regular so once you hit the mark do not think you will be allowed to run past. He runs you in before you get to it to get taken care of. Northeast runs are minimal (I personally never go), he really leaves it up to the driver if they want to go but do not expect to be routed up there at all from late fall to early spring. He keeps the trucks running mainly from Atlanta, GA to Texas & back. He does send us out west from time to time to break up the normal so we do not get too comfortable in our runs. Pay is fairly decent, but it also depends on your experience with an increase after 30 days. Once you have established yourself in the company after a few months you can have your name wrote in on the side of you truck. If you live anywhere near the Metro Atlanta area (within an hour I would say) & you want to talk just send me a PM & or give me a call for more info if interested.
